You are going to be part of
The Ampleon Master planning team consists of 2 S&OP managers and 7 master planners with multiple backgrounds and cultures, reporting to the Sr. Manager Supply Chain

A look into the life of a Master Planner
  • After reconnecting with the colleagues on the weekend, the week starts with analyzing the data of this week’s SAP IBP supply run
  • After confirming the data is ok, the preparation of the weekly loading plans for suppliers and Ampleon’s manufacturing facility in the Philippines starts
  • You will use the supply run results as a guideline and check confirmed customer orders in Power-BI the loading plan is formed and uploaded in IBP
  • During the day on Monday and Tuesday meetings are being held to align the loading plans between planners to ensure shared capacities are not being overloaded
  • Good time management is key since the deadline for upload is on Tuesday at 1700 hours
  • You are also preparing the input for the weekly supply meeting, where capacity, material constraints, and the feasible supply forecast are discussed
  • You have this covered since as a master planner you thoroughly and accurately prepare your work and you know every detail of what is going on in your area of responsibility
  • Throughout the week you are checking if new customer orders came in for the products under your care and enter a confirmation date in SAP SOH
  • This week the supplier forecast is prepared. For the suppliers related to your packages, you are preparing and rolling up the forecast
  • Next to that you are providing input to colleagues requesting your input for commonly used suppliers
  • With teamwork and time management the forecast is finished just in time for the review meeting with the supplier account manager
  • Just when you think you have everything under control one of the demand managers comes to you with a request for a pull-in for one of your products
  • Being customer-driven you immediately check what the possibilities are
  • Within 24 hours you build the current state picture and start up the actions to try and meet the requirement
  • In preparation for the executive S&OP meeting, the S&OP manager asks for input on the slow-and non-moving inventory
  • You review your materials and enter the feedback in the common file on SharePoint
  • On Thursday or Friday, you have the weekly meeting with the new product development team, which you chair, to review the volume ramp-up of the new products in your category
  • You follow up on the open actions and ensure all conditions are met to have a smooth ramp up
  • At the end of the week, you take the time to do a deeper analysis of this week’s supply run data
  • You find some master data settings are incorrect and there are some incomplete supply chains, which you correct
  • Next to that you check your incoming material supply for the next 2 weeks and follow up with the colleagues in the factory to double-check the supplier and internal manufacturing confirmations are still accurate
  • After confirmation, the data is ready for the supply run next week and you go home on Friday after a week of hard work with lots of variation

Your Profile
  • 0-5 years experience in planning (Material, Factory, Supply, S&OP, or Demand)
  • Customer focused
  • Driven to achieve results
  • Good analytical skills and ability to think about dependencies in complicated supply chains
  • Able to work in a global environment and with different cultures
  • Pro-active attitude
  • Thorough and accurate
  • Good business English skills
  • SAP or other ERP working experience
  • Having worked in high tech/semiconductor
