We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the position of a Digital Product Manager at Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe headquarter in Amsterdam.

The goal of the job is to develop, identify opportunities, build digital solutions, and grow our ICT products for the construction machinery industry. We have three different focus areas;

1) ICT/IoT – Coordinating the further development, implementation and localization of solutions initiated by the head office in Japan

2) Hardware – Developing and implementing hardware solutions/products, e.g. semi-autonomous 2D, 3D hardware solutions

3) Software – Developing and implementing software solutions/products, e.g. Telematics API, BIM solutions


What you will be doing
  • Managing the solution/product roadmap
  • Cooperating with cross functional teams regularly to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization
  • Working with product management and marketing to develop positioning and messaging to ensure differentiation from competitors
  •  Monitoring and evaluating product performance to ensure constant product iteration and improvements
  • Advising the buyer/seller on operational administration and/or logistics issues in Used Equipment sales area
  •  Reporting financial statements on defined Used KPI’s.
  • Supporting the UE team in all their business needs to create a professional and agile organisation

What you will need to succeed
  • 3-5 years’ experience in digital product management or similar
  •  Strong analytical, prioritisation, and negotiating skills
  • Usability and customer-focused design experience is a plus
  • Being passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems
