We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the position of Factory Process Engineer at Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe headquarter in Amsterdam. 

Department: Factory Engineering
Experience: 3+ years in similar role
Working hours: Full-time
Languages: native/fluent English

What you will be doing

•    Creating technical and logistics improvement proposals relating to efficiency and safety
•    Leading and successfully concluding medium-sized projects (layout improvements, sub-teams for the NWE model introduction, etc)
•    Keeping up to date with technical developments that can potentially be applied to existing processes
•    Independently executing time studies (ST) and analysis in production
•    Translating production specifications (drawings, BOM, standards) into process orders, routing and required tools
•    Converting data from prototype production into improvements (Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost - SQDC)
•    Creation of a risk analysis 
•    Defining delivery specifications of parts to the production line


What you will need to succeed

•    Proven work experience in Process Engineering or in a similar role
•    Knowledge of and an experience with the use of various LEAN tools (TPS, 5sigma) 
•    Being able to communicate with, present to and influence internal as well as external key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills in English language
•    Engineering or Business Administration degree
