We are currently looking for a new colleague  for the position of Foreman at Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe, headquartered in Amsterdam.

The goal of this job is to lead and coordinate a new Flow-Unit within the production department: Electrification.
The goal of the Flow-Unit Electrification is to produce electric construction machinery, according to the HCME standard quality and technical instructions, with respect for the environment, safe, in time and in a cost-efficient manner.

What you will be doing
  • Set-up and organize the Flow-Unit Electrification (Production area) according to the appropriate HCME standards and processes
  • Support the start-up of the Flow-Unit Electrification by taking part in the Electrification project team
  • Conduct interviews for the selection of new to assign employees.
  • Lead, coach and motivate team members.
  • Provide clear and effective feedback to team members aimed on improvement.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze relevant information, timely implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
  • Ensure the flow of the Flow-Unit and its contribution to the Factory flow.
  • Solve problems within the Flow-Unit.
  • Make sure that the ISO-, environmental-, quality- and safety regulations are known and followed.
  • Plan tasks and daily activities.
  • Take care of the hour registration.
  • Plans and executes staff performance reviews and appraisal interviews
  • Continuous monitoring and analysis of relevant performance, resulting in timely corrective and preventive measures.

What you will need to succeed
  • MBO+ level
  • Several years of supervising experience in an electrical, mechanical or construction environment.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Good didactic and presentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of the English language (spoken and written). Dutch nice to have
  • Able to give clear instructions and explanations to employees.
  • Responsible, pragmatic, creative, assertive and pro-active.
  • VCA is a plus.
