We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the position of Marketing & Events Specialist at Hitachi Construction Machinery EU headquarter in Amsterdam. 

Department: Marketing
Experience: 3-5 years
Working hours: Full-time
Languages: native/fluent English, other European language(s) a plus

The goal of this role is to optimally position Hitachi and HCME Value Chain in the market, through exhibitions, special events and merchandising.  Enhances the customer experience at visits to HCME and at HCME exhibition and events to increase customer loyalty and retention.

What you will be doing
  • Being a project leader for exhibitions, shows and special events, ensure timely and professional execution and communication of these events within the pre-approved budget as set by HCME.
  • Being a project leader for customer experience within HCME, and setting up professional, streamlined customer visits to HCME
  • Briefing external suppliers in design, copy, image, and content needs in the development tradeshow booth graphics, events, and other promotional activities to further enhance Hitachi’s brand image.
  • Supporting dealers with advice on organizing local events if necessary and promote local dealer events through HCME channels
  • Acting as a strong communication link between supplier and HCM for merchandise promotional products, negotiate diverse product portfolio.
  • Acting as a brand steward, upholding brand and trademark standards and consistency in all projects.
What you will need to succeed
  • Excellent knowledge of English, other European language(s) a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of marketing tools and programs
  • >5 years’ work experience in a similar position
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships.
