We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the position of Assistant Manager Parts Procurement at Hitachi Construction Machinery Oosterhout

Department: Production & Procurement
Experience: 2-3 years in a similar role
Working hours: Full-time
Languages: native/fluent Dutch & English

What you will be doing
  • Leading a team of 6 people
  • Execute performance reviews and appraisal reviews
  • Observing whether the staff performs according to the instruction, and if necessary to support them, or countermeasure the situation.
  • Monitor quality and progress of the daily operation, goals and results
  • Advice about personnel planning in the department
  • Advice education and training request of the staff
  • Review suppliers on the contract conditions.
  • Develop, maintain, check, and improve on KPI’s
  • Explore new markets for potential new suppliers and/or products.
  • Negotiate about conditions regarding quality-, payment-, warranty-, and delivery conditions
  • Make recommendation to internal customers regarding contracting suppliers
  • Handle the received quotations, according to the internal purchase procedures and contract suppliers
  • Ordering, based on the purchase needs and (technical) specifications of the internal customer
  • Update the customer about the (price)developments in the market
  • Undertake necessary actions, based on the developments in the external market.
  • Determine during calamities when and how measures have to be taken to the supplier and executes the measures
  • A reliable supply chain respecting delivery dates, prices etc.
  • Purchasing, against the most favourable delivery conditions
What you will need to succeed
  • Bachelor degree and NEFI 1&2
  • Native/fluent Dutch & English
  • Good time management, ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Background in parts procurement
  • Being driven by results and performance
  • Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills
