Your Mission
The Rental Business Partner acts as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to HCME’s dealer network, supporting the development, expansion, and performance of Hitachi’s Rental Solutions.
This role drives rental business growth by inspiring dealers, embedding rental processes and tools, supporting operational performance, and ensuring full accountability for achieving rental targets.
The Rental Business Partner collaborates closely with the Rental team, Sales Account Management team, and internal HCME departments to deliver dealer-centric results that improve profitability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Be Doing

Achieve agreed rental business plan targets with assigned dealers.

Monitor performance, analyse trends, and proactively adjust plans with stakeholders.

Report progress, risks, and opportunities to the (General) Manager Rental & Used.

Improve profitability of the rental portfolio through data-driven insights.

Act as the primary point of contact for all rental-related matters for assigned dealers.

Build strong, trusted relationships with dealer principals and management teams.

Develop annual Rental Business Plans with dealers, aligned with HCME strategy and formats.

Identify areas for dealer improvement and growth, enhancing competitiveness and profitability.

Ensure adoption of HCME rental programs, tools, best practices, and support packages.

Support dealers in strengthening their rental operations, market position, and customer value propositions.

Prepare accurate and competitive rental quotations, calculations, and commercial proposals.

Follow up on all quotations and ensure timely and successful deal closure.

Support the development of rental pricing structures and financial solutions (e.g. leasing).

Ensure smooth coordination with internal departments (Logistics, Finance, Marketing, IT) to meet dealer needs.

Provide operational support to solve dealer issues and escalate when needed.

Maintain accurate documentation of dealer communication, agreements, and performance insights.
What You Bring

Proven experience as a Rental Manager, Account Manager, or similar commercial role within the equipment, automotive, or industrial sector.

Experience with rental, leasing, or financial solutions is beneficial.

Strong commercial mindset with customer-first focus.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Analytical capability to interpret performance data and drive action.

Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.

Bachelor’s degree (HBO+) in Business Studies, Business Administration, or related field.

Excellent English communication skills; additional European languages preferred.

Strong proficiency in MS Office; CRM/ERP experience (e.g., SAP) is an advantage.

Willingness to travel across Europe to support dealers and drive business growth
What We Offer

Compensation built of a yearly gross salary between 52’000 euros and 81’000 euros (including holiday allowance and based on experience) + a guaranteed bonus (4%)
