Your Mission
The role of the Regional Business Manager is to oversee the total business development with a number of assigned distributors of Hitachi Construction Machinery within Europe. This includes assigning tasks to specialists in areas where specialist support to enhance business from a quantitative or qualitative perspective is required. An important task is to evaluate business development every quarter, focusing on the sales funnel, market analysis, and short-term action plans to enhance performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
Business Development

Oversee and drive total business development with assigned distributors.

Collect and analyse market data

Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to provide strategic recommendations for business improvement.
Budget

Achieve agreed business plan targets with assigned dealers.

Manage and improve profitability of the product portfolio.

Report to the Manager Sales and Network Development about the progress and evaluation of yearly targets for dealers under responsibility.
Account Management

Provide strategic direction and identify programs that support dealers in winning their markets.

Serve as the single point of contact for dealers on all strategic matters.

Drive efficient achievement of results and dealer/customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure distributors receive the necessary tools, training, and insights to optimize their market approach.
Responsibilities

Serve as the lead point of contact for all dealer-related matters.

Assist with challenging dealer requests or issue escalations if required.

Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to dealer needs and objectives.

Stay informed about economic situations, demand trends, developments, and competition.

Communicate progress of initiatives clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

Develop new business opportunities with dealers or identify areas for improvement that benefit both parties’ profitability.
What You Bring
-
Experience in the Construction Machinery or related industry
-
Proven experience as an Account Manager or in a similar role, engaging with C-suite executives at medium- to large-sized companies.

Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time within Europe

Ability to communicate with, present to, and influence internal and external key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Proven experience with MS Office programs.

Ability to manage multiple account management projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Commercial mindset with a customer-first mentality backed by organizational awareness and analytical skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in a second or third language is preferred.

HBO-Bachelor degree in Business Studies / Business Administration

Compensation built of a yearly gross salary between 68’000 euros and 100’000 euros (including holiday allowance and based on experience) + a guaranteed bonus (4%)
