Assistant Manager Parts Procurement
Location: Oosterhout
The Team:
Become a member of our logistics team, responsible for warehouse operations, inventory management, and parts procurement. Our team consists of 13 dedicated members, with 7 focused on procurement. This includes 3 buyers (including the Assistant Manager) and 4 expeditors/administrators.
We support operations across Europe, North Africa, Scandinavia, and parts of Eastern Europe, making us an internationally operating department.
The responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of 6 members in the Production & Procurement department.

Execute performance and appraisal reviews, ensuring staff adherence to instructions and providing support as needed.

Monitor and ensure the quality and progress of daily operations, setting and achieving goals and results.

Advise on personnel planning, education, and training requests within the department.

Develop, maintain, and improve vendor rating KPIs, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting.

Explore new markets for potential suppliers and products, negotiating favorable conditions regarding quality, payment, warranty, and delivery.

Handle quotations and orders based on internal purchase procedures and technical specifications.

Maintain a reliable supply chain, ensuring on-time delivery and cost reduction.

Collaborate closely with inventory management to forecast and maintain the flow of goods.

Act as the right hand of the Manager Procurement Department, making recommendations to internal customers regarding supplier contracts and market developments.
Who are we looking for:
-
Education & Certifications: Mbo Logistiek Supervisor (niveau 4), Nevi 1 and 2, Hbo Bedrijfskunde.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in leading and managing a procurement team.

Languages: Native/fluent in Dutch and English.

Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, excellent time management, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
