Category Manager
Location: Amsterdam


The role:

As the Category Manager you play a vital role in optimizing product categories, driving procurement strategies, and ensuring efficient operations. You are responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and negotiating favourable terms of collaboration.


The responsibilities:

• Category management- defining, managing and overseeing steel related parts, hydraulic components, electric components and other automotive parts.

• Develop and execute procurement strategies as well as identify and mitigate risks.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with suppliers. Evaluate supplier performance and identify areas for improvement. Operational management of the collaboration.

• Having full overview of the chain (not only price negotiation but forecasting the total cost and taking all factors into consideration)

• Financial analysis and overseeing of category budget as an input to the Procurement Department profitability

Who are we looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or Supply Chain Management

• 5+ years of relevant experience: business-oriented person with procurement knowledge

• Fluent English

• Strong negotiator with highly developed business communication skills

• Analytical and strategic thinking abilities
